GO3D Digital Systems · Remote engineering

Your CAD workstation.
Wherever you work.

A dedicated GPU desktop, managed by GO3D, using your own compatible SOLIDWORKS license or a newly licensed seat, with a QUICKSURFACE workflow to validate in the pilot. Bring your scan, build your design, and keep the project connected to the GO3D review workflow.

Engineering power on demand

Do the CAD work on a dedicated remote GPU workstation. Your local computer displays and controls the session.

One GO3D workspace

A branded launch experience, guided setup, project handoff and support. Vendor applications retain their names and licenses.

Your files, preserved

Work from versioned project copies. Keep original scans and engineering masters intact, with review exports and a clear return path.

Proposed managed seat

What GO3D would provide

  • A dedicated GPU VM, physical workstation or managed cloud seat with persistent project storage and a compatible Windows environment.
  • Your own SOLIDWORKS 2021 license where permitted, or the newest licensed release supported by the complete workstation stack.
  • A vendor-approved QUICKSURFACE add-in or a separate Pro surfacing workstation, depending on the chosen CAD/OS combination.
  • A remote desktop launch portal with individual sign-in and a protected session.
  • The GO3D companion inside the workstation, connecting saved CAD previews and design requests to Bill Builder.
  • A planned GO3D AI-assist layer for structured requests, reviewable native commands, version checkpoints and checked handoffs.
  • Setup, version pinning, backup and recovery procedures, and an acceptance check using a known test part.

The pilot is scoped and quoted before hardware, hosting or software is purchased. Existing licenses are used only where their actual terms permit the hosted arrangement.

Build a pilot brief

Choose the work, then size the seat.

Memory128 GB
GPU allocation target24 GB
Persistent storage target1 TB SSD
SessionOne named user

Bill’s reported PC already has 80 GB RAM. Start with a 128 GB comparison target and measure actual CAD performance.

Capacity targets are planning estimates, not reserved hardware or performance guarantees. Final sizing follows a representative CAD test.

Nothing is submitted or purchased. Download the brief for GO3D setup and quotation.

From sign-in to a reviewable design

  1. Open your seat

Sign into GO3D and connect to your assigned remote desktop.

  2. Choose the project copy

Load the approved revision with its units and coordinates.

  3. Design in the workstation

Use SOLIDWORKS, QUICKSURFACE and the local GO3D companion together.

  4. Review and return

Review the saved preview, then return versioned CAD and a handoff record.

Current build status: the offering, pilot configurator, readiness kit and benchmark comparison are ready for review. The GPU VM, remote gateway and software seats have not been provisioned. Run the readiness and acceptance workflow before choosing the final host.
Release and compatibility policy

“Latest” means the newest release that is licensed for this use and supported by the entire workstation stack. SOLIDWORKS 2027 has been announced; the published 2027 hypervisor entries currently say “To be announced.” The exact release, service pack, GPU driver and add-in build will be pinned after verification.

SOLIDWORKS 2021 meets the add-in’s advertised version minimum, but SOLIDWORKS lists Windows 11 support starting at 2022 SP2. Keep older native files unchanged and test neutral-format returns when a customer continues using 2021 locally.

Licensing and what the GO3D brand covers

GO3D provides the portal, integration, onboarding and managed-workstation service. SOLIDWORKS and QUICKSURFACE remain separately licensed vendor products. A trial key is not a hosted-service or resale license. The proposed customer access, virtualization and commercial service arrangement require confirmation against the actual vendor agreements before launch.

How the connector works

The remote session displays a browser and CAD applications running inside the same Windows workstation. The existing GO3D companion stays on loopback inside that workstation. The public portal does not expose its CAD-control port or a license key. Shared review delivery is a separate authenticated handoff, with source hashes and new revision names.

Google Drive remains the authoritative engineering repository for the current GO3D project. This pilot does not migrate or upload those files. Exact GPU virtualization, remote transport and user access are selected during provisioning; Amazon DCV is one candidate for a branded browser client.
